What is the difference between a Police Report Number and Full Police Report?
When you believe a theft has occurred, contact the local police department through their non emergency number and request to file a police report. Once an officer arrives, they will take your statement and provide you with a card with a police report number. The police report number is needed to request the full police report from the responding police department. Please note, many police departments require a processing time before being able to provide the full police report. Once you receive the full police report this is the document you will submit for your claim.
